Where does grooming take place?
We come to you! Holden Paws Dog Grooming travels to your home and provides grooming services inside your home, allowing your dog to stay in a familiar environment.
Do I need a grooming tub?
No. We use your bathtub or another suitable bathing area inside your home and bring our own professional grooming supplies and equipment.
What areas do you serve?
Holden Paws is based in Pasadena, Maryland and travels to clients throughout Pasadena and surrounding areas. Availability depends on location and travel schedule.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Appointments may be requested online or by contacting Laurie.
All online appointments are requests only. Every appointment must be personally reviewed and confirmed by the owner of Holden Paws Dog Grooming before it is considered booked.
How much does grooming cost?
We offer affordable grooming with pricing based on your dog's size, breed, coat type and condition, grooming needs, behavior, and time required.
What services do you offer?
Baths, brushing, haircuts, deshedding, nail care, paw and sanitary trimming, puppy grooming, senior grooming, and other grooming services.
What do I need to provide?
You will need to provide access to a suitable bathtub or bathing area, running water, and an appropriate space in your home for grooming. We bring our professional grooming supplies and equipment.
Does my dog need vaccinations?
Dogs must meet our current health and vaccination requirements, including applicable rabies requirements. Proof of vaccination may be requested.
What if my dog is sick?
Please reschedule if your dog is experiencing vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, unusual discharge, fever, or other signs of illness or a contagious condition.
What if my dog has a medical condition?
Please disclose medical conditions, medications, allergies, seizures, injuries, skin problems, mobility limitations, or other health concerns before grooming.
Do you groom senior dogs?
Yes. Senior dogs are welcome when grooming can be performed safely and comfortably. Services may be modified based on the dog's health, mobility, stamina, and stress level.
What if my dog is anxious or difficult to groom?
Please disclose anxiety, aggression, bite history, or previous grooming difficulties when scheduling. Grooming may be modified or stopped if continuing would be unsafe or cause excessive stress.
Do you groom puppies?
Yes! Puppy grooming can introduce your dog to bathing, brushing, nail care, handling, and grooming in the comfort of their own home.
Do you offer complimentary grooming?
Yes, on a limited basis. Our Giving Back Program provides complimentary grooming opportunities for qualifying shelter and rescue dogs and seniors age 80+ with qualifying physical limitations or disabilities.
Shelter and rescue grooming is performed at the shelter or rescue facility. Approved senior services are performed at the senior's home when our schedule and travel area permit.
Restrictions, eligibility requirements, annual service limits, and availability apply. Complimentary grooming is not guaranteed.
