It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

The Beginning

Many years ago when I was a small child my father built a red dollhouse for me. I played with that dollhouse every day until one day I was too old for it. Although many years had passed I never forgot about the dollhouse my father made for me because it was truly precious to me. That dollhouse allowed me to make tons of lasting memories through play that I will never forget about.

So one day I was sitting in my house thinking about that dollhouse and I thought of an amazing idea, what if I ordered a miniature dollhouse kit then had my father help me put it together. We could spend some quality time together building it then make memories that we could both cherish the rest of our lives and that is when our greatest adventure began together.

We set off into the wonderful world of miniatures on November 29, 2015, with no idea that this would become a crazy start to multiple dollhouse builds, and the beginning of creating and building our own dollhouse furniture along with lots of dollhouse DIY's and dollhouse tutorials to share with others, it was a start to something new for the both of us.

As my dad thought I was a bit crazy every time I said let's start another dollhouse or build another piece of furniture that first day we started the Beacon Hill Miniature Dollhouse was truly the start of something wonderful that will always be remembered and cherished forever. As the love for my awesome miniature dollhouses is big, I loved spending time with my father building them more. In fact, I had planned on creating as many miniatures as I could with my father for as long as he could still do them with me. Unfortunately, as I would have loved to build thousands of miniatures with my dad his time here was to short and he left all of us way too soon on November 18, 2019.

So as his journey ended too soon I invite you to spend time with me as I take you on a new adventure through my miniature dollhouse tutorials, my dollhouse creativity, and welcome you into my crazy life through my blogs and my post so you can get to know more than just one side of me.
